Now that the rush of the holidays is over we can sit back and relax! We had a fabulous Christmas! Very busy but VERY fun. Lance and I had the whole week off together which was so great. We did baking, playing outside in the snow and just had fun with our two great girls. Christmas Eve was a lot of fun this year. We went to the morning service at church which was totally geared towards kids. They told the Nativity Story and let the kids be involved. Every child could be either a shepherd, angel or a star. Then when Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus were up on the stage all the kids got to go up there with the pastor and be part of the story! It was SO awesome. This is what I was looking for in a church. One that gets the kids involved and really interested in learning about Jesus. We are so happy to be part of this church. After that we went to Lance's parents house so the girls could meet and play with their cousins who are the same age as them. They had so much fun. It is nice to be surrounded by kids this time of year. My family always celebrates on Christmas Eve so we were off the Nana and Papaw's house to open presents and enjoy the time with family. Maddy was so excited that Santa came to our house. She came in a woke me up to tell me Santa had come after she quietly went downstairs to make sure. :-) The girls had a great day of playing with their toys and each other. All our family then came to our house to have a fun meal together! We are very blessed with great family! I am very lucky to be so close to all of them.
